Spring Kickoff: “2nd Annual Strike with DG” Whether you are interested in seeing old friends, reconnecting, or brand new to the group, take this opportunity to kickoff the New Year with WDC Delta Gamma alumnae. Join us for bowling, food and fun at Lucky Strike Lanes, the premiere upscale bowling alley and lounge near the Verizon Center at Gallery Place.

"DG Gourmet Soup Exchange Party” WDC DG is hosting a potluck with a twist – contribute a batch of your signature homemade soup or stew and take home samples of your favorite recipes. We’ll share hearty winter recipes and sample side dishes that can complete any meal.

Here’s how it works:

1. Each guest makes enough of their favorite soup to share a four-serving container with each person attending the party.
2. Each guest brings frozen containers of their soup and recipe cards to go with them.
3. She also brings one container that isn't frozen for sampling. The hostess heats the sampler soups and serves them with warm bread and dessert.
4. Everyone leaves with samples and recipes cards for the other dishes.

When: Saturday, February 9 at 11:00 a.m.
Where: A member's home in Washington, DC
Metro: U Street/Cardozo station or Dupont Circle station (Green/Yellow line or Red line)
Cost: Free!

"Founders Day” Join the Washington, D.C. Alumnae Chapter and collegians from American University in celebrating one of the most honored of DG’s ritual traditions. This is an opportunity to honor the three founders and rededicate ourselves to the ideas of the Fraternity. "Botanic Garden Tour” Join WDC DG for a guided tour of the U.S. Botanic Garden Conservatory, home to over 4,000 plants and a spectacular outdoor garden featuring the historic Bartholdi Fountain. The Conservatory, which includes a large Lord & Burnham greenhouse, is also divided into separate rooms to simulate different habitat environments. Following the tour we will enjoy the indigenous cuisines of the Americas and explore the history of Native foods at the Mitsitam Native Foods Café in the National Museum of the American Indian. The café features Native foods found throughout the Western Hemisphere, including the Northern Woodlands, South America, the Northwest Coast, Meso America, and the Great Plains.

When: Saturday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m.
Where: U.S. Botanic Garden, 100 Maryland Avenue, SW
Metro: Federal Center SW station (Blue/Orange line)
Cost: Free tour; $10-$15 for lunch

"WDC Delta Gamma's 7th Annual Wine Tasting Fundraiser” Please join the Wine Tasting Special Interest Group as it hosts WDC Delta Gamma's seventh annual Wine and Appetizer Fundraiser. This is always a popular event, as we sample new wines and experiment with gourmet food and wine pairings. Guests are welcome to join us as we raise money for the Delta Gamma Foundation.

When: Saturday, May 17 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Where: The Red Lounge at Tabaq Bistro, 1336 U Street NW, Washington, DC.
